Annual examinations are recommended for all children and young adults. Please schedule visits for children older than 36 months three months in advance, on or near their birthdays. Be sure to check with your insurance carrier to determine your coverage with regard to well-child examinations. Some policies allow one well-child examination per calendar year; others require at least 365 days since the last examination occurred.

Beginning from birth, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Bright Futures program recommend regularly scheduled health maintenance visits. We follow these guidelines, and recommend appointments in the first week of life, and subsequently at one, two, four, and six months of age. Well-child visits then continue every three months until 18 months of age, and are then every six months until three years of age (after which yearly visits are recommended).

School and Camp Health Forms are provided at annual examinations. This form is sufficient for all school, sports, and camp activities for twelve months from the exam date. Make multiple copies of this form for use during the year. Additional copies will be available for ten dollars each.
